What We Do
Fly Safe, Fly Fun at Flying Rooster's Kids Drone Camp!

Get ready for a summer of high-flying fun at Flying Rooster's Kids Drone Camp! Led by our expert coach, Ross Tyler, campers will learn the ropes of drone piloting. All at Stoney Lake

Exciting Adventures Await
​
Campers will learn the basics of flight, explore the science of drones, and even get the chance to show off their skills in fun challenges and games. They will embark on a thrilling drone adventure, from navigating obstacle courses to mastering aerial tricks.

Interactive Learning
​
Our expert coach will provide hands-on demonstrations, showing campers the ins and outs of drone technology. Campers will be inspired to think creatively and explore the endless possibilities of drone flight. Camp registration includes a personal drone and a controller which the camper gets to keep after camp ends.

Location: USLA Pavilion Crowes Landing
Time: 1:30-4:30PM Tuesday-Friday
Age: 7+
Qualifications: None Needed
Cost: $200 per week including free drone (camper takes home at the end of camp)

Meet the Instructor
Ross Tyler
"The Flying Rooster"
Hey, I'm Ross Tyler (16), a high school sophomore from Long Beach California that specializes in aeronautical engineering, and a Stoney Lake summertime resident since 2007.
I've been flying drones for three years, both recreationally and competitively. I currently compete as a Drone Soccer pilot for Sato High School (2023 U.S. National Champions and 2024 World Champions). I'm currently ranked 3rd in the US as a Drone Soccer Striker.
Most recently I've discovered drone racing (FPV) and compete in local racing championships in Southern California.
I've built and flown various styles of drones, and have taught many middle school groups in drone flying at various workshops and camps.

For Summer 2023 I worked as a camp counselor at the Wildfire Golf Camp
​
Campers can expect a fun and lively experience under the supervision of an accomplished drone pilot and responsible coach.
